This week's topic was aging families. One of my dreams is to have a happy life with my future wife when we are old. I hope to walk with my wife during the day. I am able to show my love to her even if I am really old. Married couples are often saying that they are living because of friendship not love after being married for a while. I mean I know it is a joke, but I can tell why they are saying like that. When time goes by, married couples would be a lot comfortable with their spouse like their best friend. However, I want to keep love first with my future wife forever. I am not married, so I might live in a dream, but that is my goal. I think in Korea, the old aging couples are not showing their love to each other. I don't think I have seen the old aging couple walking with holding hands. When I serve my mission in the Seattle area, I was invited to come over to the old member's house so often. They loved me and my companion. One thing I have noticed was that they were still in love. I was surprised because it is not common in my country. I should have asked how they kept their relationship like that. 

I guessed a couple of reasons how old aging couples could stay happy. First, avoid something that the spouse doesn't like. I think that is really important because it is one way to show respect to their partner even though they live together for a long time. I feel loved when someone shows respect to me. Second, it is something that I have noticed that they express their love to their partner. It can be very difficult for some people, but many people wouldn't know if they don't express it. For me it is hard to say, "love you", but it is a simple way to express their love. The last one is to serve each other. Service is necessary for the couple. It will develop the relationship. 

This week, we had a class for teaching one another. I really liked the way we had a class on Thursday. I prepared a top ten list for the final. I didn't know what we were going to do for the final. The final was preparing for the lesson, and teaching a student from the class. I prepared two lessons which are communication and parenting. I think those two topics were something that important to me. 

Communication is something that I have been working on since when I was a missionary. Communication happens all the time in our lives. When we don't have a good conversation with others, it can ruin my mood and others as well. Communication needs to be effective. Listening is crucial in communication. I think communication can be continued there are at least one person listens. I try my best to be a better listener.

Also, I taught about parenting. It was a kind of a tough topic to teach because I am not a parent yet. Because of that, I had to think about what my parents did for me. They didn't really say to love me. I think it is Korean culture. I think that this is something that I could do for my children in the future. I want my children to feel love from their parents. I think home is the place that they need to feel love and safe. I want to make my home like that for my kids.

I think it was an interesting moment to teach others because I am used to listening and learning. It helped me know how to prepare the lesson and how to teach others. I learned that questions are really important. Also, I learned that participation is very helpful. 

I thank brother Williams to teach us this semester. I learned a lot about how to develop a relationship with my family.
